OK, I’ve just completed the first draft of my chapter on Golden Age (c. 1938-1945). [If my publisher is reading this, don’t worry–I’m not writing the chapters in chronological order!] I WOULD have been finished already, but I was distracted by spending a day or two reading Lester del Rey — so many stories I can use!
One I didn’t include too much of is Del Rey’s “Hereafter, Inc.”, which is too bad: it’s a fun story, and illustrates the lack of patience gSF had for religious belief in the Golden Age. So, in hopes I can add some distractions into someone else‘s life, here it is:
